Registered, ready to pose, so it looks like this shindig will go down!

We had a fun weekend. We headed to Raleigh on Sunday morning for a Crate and Barrel registry event. Getting registered is fun and interesting at the same time. You're essentially just picking out a bunch of stuff you think is nice that you're hoping people will buy for you. I manned the gun, Katie said "I like this", and I shot the merchandise sticker. We were around a bunch of other couples there as well, so it was fun to see how people's tastes differed within the same store. Crate and Barrel is a store I've always thought of as "one of those". You know, the kind of store that guys don't go in for multiple reasons, and even if they did they wouldn't be able to afford the air that wafts around. Surprisingly, I found things very affordable, so much so that I can only think of just a few items that we picked out that were over $30. Maybe I'm stretching it, but still, I was pleasantly surprised.

We also met with our photographer, Kevin Milz, and his wife Abby (who I went to high school with). It was great seeing Abby since I hadn't seen her in years, and also great talking with Kevin. His attention to detail is what initially attracted us to his work, and it's easy to discern if you look through his albums online. We're definitely excited about working with him. Here's a link to his website if you're interested in looking at some of his work....

Let's see...other news. Oh yeah, we're officially having the wedding at St. Mary's Chapel in Raleigh...we think....sort of...maybe. Nah just kidding, it'll be at St. Mary's. We're still looking for a reception place, but hopefully it'll be finialized soon. The Pavilions wasn't available on Oct. 24th, and a few other places we were looking into were booked, but hopefully we'll find something soon.

We have our second pre-marital counseling session this Thursday with Father Van. It's been a lot of fun so far, so we're looking forward to that. And with that said, I think you're officially up to date! I hope all of you are doing well and we look forward to seeing you soon!
